Sunday, Jan 1 is best for me. I hope we are not having a SAAB Wake (as in the death of SAAB) at that time. I have my fingers crossed for Victor, Yougerman, Pang Da and all the remaining SAAB employees including Steven Wade.

Yeah, I feel bad for Swade. I can only imagine the emotional roller coaster he's been through in the last few months. I'm afraid it's going to be something of a rags to riches to rags story for him if things don't get better real fast.

On a slightly lighter note, I am hoping you can bring your 9-4X to the dinner since most of us will probably never see another one again.

Sure, I'm hopeful SAAB will survive to live another day, but if not there may be only 500-1,000 9-4Xs made total worldwide since GM stopped production. I'll bring it but it's really a shame, because it is a great vehicle.

The New Year's dinner is scheduled for MONDAY, January 2 at Harry's Seafood in St. Augustine, FL.

Meet up at 5:00 and hang out for a while then eat some good seafood. Parking at the municipal St. Augustine parking garage is recommended. It's a bit of a walk, but actually getting parking in downtown St. Augustine is a challenge to say the least.

Harry's is pretty much across the street from the Fort (Castillio de San Marcos) and the Bridge of Lions.

Harry's web site: http://www.hookedonharrys.com/page/28-4172.htm

(Note: The parking Garage Map above is actually pointing to Barnacle Bill's Restaurant, which is across the street from the Parking Garage. I can't find the address to the parking garage. WE ARE NOT EATING AT BARNACLE BILL'S.)

Hope to see you there. Let us know if you're coming so we can get an idea of how many to expect.

GB, do we need to make reservations? What did we do last year?

Last year we just showed up. I think we'll be fine.

I will be a party of 3 or 4, depending on what time Kathy Jo gets off from work.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the dinner on the 2nd as I will be driving to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. The drive should be fun, though. I will miss the great camaraderie! Have a great time and see if you guys can figure out how to save SAAB (again).

Sorry you can't make it, Bruce. I guess football is more important than hanging out with your fellow SAABisti. :|

Ted has agreed to come, so hopefully that's at least 5. 8-)

Had a good time last night, guys. Wish more people had come, but the turnout was not bad. Really glad Justin and Ted #2 (96tears) made the long trip. Let's do something again soon!

Hi Steve. Glenn should have one or two, but I think that's it.
