Hiya, gang! Hiya, hiya, hiya.

Somehow it's that time of year again where we try to gather as many of us as possible for some great cars, great food, and great friendships. This past year has certainly had it's share of difficulties and challenges for many of us, but it would be great to fellowship for a few hours and look to better days in the future.

LOCATION: I admit that I'm partial to holding this event in St. Augustine because of it's "Northeast" location, it's beautiful holiday ambience, and it's abundance of great restaurants. But I am certainly open to suggestions, as long as they are for the good of the majority of the folks who plan on attending the event. Let's nail the CITY down first, then work on the actual establishment.

DATE: I usually suggest New Year's Day, because of the fact that MANY of us (not all) have the day off from work, and also it seems to be a day that many people stay home, leaving less difficulty for us finding parking and a place to eat. The weekend between Christmas and New Year is also an option, except that many people are still travelling and/or are out of town that weekend (Dec. 29/30). What seems to be the general consensus this year? (Watching college football games is NOT to be used as an excuse for missing this meet! :) )

TIME: Dinner or Lunch works for me... but either way I'd like to be a bit relaxed... having time to chat before the meal, and time to have coffee and hang out after the meal as well. Zipping in, scarfing down food, then jetting off right after the bill comes seems a bit pointless, doesn't it?

Because of our lack of organised events lately I'm hoping to get as many of us together as possible. Maybe we can re-generate some enthusiasm that was lost when the bankruptcy took place. If you've been around since the beginning, if you just joined up this year, or anywhere in-between, come on out!

So I guess it will just be me and you, Ted. Late lunch type-thing, or dinner? Which day? New Year's Day?

Just saw this thread, im good for Saint Aug. Good food etc. Agree to doing it earlier in the day so we can hang out longer than a meal. Its a sold 4 hours of driving for me, so a longer stay is great. Perhaps noon until the bars close?

If you're looking for beach side, I would recommend Beach Comber (right on beach) and/or Coquina Beach (old Barnacle Bills). Harry's downtown is a favorite, but there is also A1A ale works, Flavor's, JP Heneley's, etc.

*Justin, Is it just me or is your car collection growing?

Who me? No, never. Not in the last week at least or so now. The first part of recovery is admitting you have a problem, I dont. The only problem I have is deciding where Im building or buying a warehouse to store them, and build an indoor motocross track of course.

I will try to attend if possible. Let's decide when and where before it's too late!

Call it a late lunch or an early-bird dinner. We can meet up, chat for a while, THEN eat, OR we can eat early, then chat and/or stroll around and find a coffeehouse.
